Purify dirty drinking water with the sun. If you have camped before you are likely familiar with the tablets you can drop into found water to make it safe for drinking. This water bottle is designed to reach the same end goal, but through the use of the sun. Using a process called SODIS, UV-A radiation and increased temperature are sufficient to purify previously dirty drinking water. Although this process works with regular water bottles, this flat bottle design helps to increase the surface area exposed to the sun, which in turn helps with the SODIS process. It doesn't hurt that the packaging is attractive either.
