Second Rain is a modular container that holds about 40 gallons of rainwater per unit. Unlike other rain barrels, this collector can be incorporated into patios and landscapes as seating, decorative walls and pillars. The 100% recycled plastic units can be covered with a stone veneer, brick or any other siding to fit within the landscape. Second Rain units can be connected in series to hold an undefined amount of water. Assembly is easy, a hose can be attached directly to the collector, and the units are easily portable if you ever move.
Each Second Rain rain collector is $299 and comes in 4 standard colors.
Great idea. I was just thinking about how to setup a rain collector on my balcony. I would then like to figure out how to attach a little irrigation tube and use gravity to water my plants.

Glad you like the product. We have been incorporating the Second Rain boxes into many different designs for people with small spaces and getting a great response.
You probably know this, but one thing to keep in mind when putting rain collectors on balconies is the weight of the container when it is full. In Chicago, for example, minimum building code for a new deck is 100lbs./sq.ft. This is about what one Second Rain container is when full (97.5 lbs/sq.ft)... I believe any rain barrel taller than 2 feet will exceed this weight limit.
yep, SketchUp and Flash, what a glorious combination
