Asus Goes Green With Bamboo Laptops

080109_asusbamboo.jpgAsus launched the Asus Bamboo Series notebook. This isn't the first time that Asus has used natural products in their laptops. They have successfully used leather in the past. The bamboo just goes a step further. Wood is a great medium, a lot better than plastic. Bamboo is great to touch and feel. Asus also announced that these laptops will remain green throughout the phases of their life, from their conception, production and their eventual recycling and disposal.

It's an ultra-slim series of notebooks that will be available in two versions. A 12.1" model that weighs 3.46 lbs and a 11.1" model that weighs a mere 2.76 lbs. Both will use Intel Core2Duo processors and DDRII RAM. This series of laptops almost becomes an ultraportable range. Nevertheless, Asus will deck them out in the latest technologies.

I have just had my second Dell. Thinking by spending £1500 this time I'd
would get someting really good. It's OK but that is about all. The keyboard
didn't light up when it came as per spec, so they sent a replacement part
which my IT guy fitted.
There are other issues but all Dell say arrgogantly is 'they don't supply faulty goods'
Now they ignore my emails.
