Lego Kitchen Crafts

11-5-08legos.jpgThis wooden utensil holder, inspired by the Duomo di Siena, is a great way to reuse those Legos you have laying around. We think that these kitchen ideas are so much fun that we'll probably dust off our box of Legos in the attic and try to come up with our own designs...

Enos Trays from STAACH

10-27-08staachtray.jpgWe absolutely love the simplicity and sustainability of STAACH products. The furniture company just released these new trays, just in time for the holiday season. Like most of their other products, these trays use FSC-certified domestic white Maple and Formaldehyde-free food safe wood glue.

Five Tips for a Greener Kitchen
ShopSmart: November 2008

10-23-08greenhome.jpgYou don't have to spend a lot to go green, but it's easy to make costly mistakes if you don't do your homework. There are no federal regulations for items marketed as eco-friendly so some green products might not be as green as you think. The folks at ShopSmart, from the publisher of Consumer Reports, spent months sizing up fridges, running dishwashers, burning light bulbs, and punishing faucets to find the best green kitchen products. Take a look at their tips, after the jump!

AT on... Shower Time

Marimba Magazine Rack by RePlayGround

7-29-08magrack.jpgWe're the first to admit that we have a hard time creating our own DIY projects. We don't look at an empty soda bottle and think "lamp shade!" or "candy bowl!" We need direction, a lot of it. So, imagine how happy we were to find this awesome magazine rack by RePlayGround, which is made out of reclaimed drumsticks and scrap wood. We could totally see ourselves making something like this (if we were to find some discarded drumsticks, that is).
