How could any kid resist this little eco-gadget? It's a light switch that gets angry when it's been left on for too long. It frowns and turns bright red and makes saving energy a fun thing to remember to do.

We're pretty much in favor of anything that teaches kids good eco-habits early in life. This Tio light switch seems like it would do that.
We aren't fans of making more and more plastic gadgets though. So this (adorable) thing would only be worth it in our eyes if it really worked. What do you think? Would the Tio get your kid (or any kid you know) to be better about switching off the lights and saving electricity?

actually, i think my daughter would be interested in waiting to watch it change colors. imagine what she would be missing out on if she DIDN'T get to see it turn red! but seriously, no.

if this is plastic..then no way it is coming into my house...it would be great it was made from some natural material....energy saving is not the only eco thing this should be doing
