Yesterday we vented a bit about useless gifts. But what about useful ones? Luckily, we got a few of those too.
There's one in particular that we're particularly excited about. We're hoping it makes our bedroom a bit more healthy.

We're talking about the two Sneeze Relief Pillow Protectors that were given to us by Mom. She got them at Linens N Things (which is going out of business). If you hurry, you might still be able to nab a few, and at a deep discount.
We've only had the covers on the pillows for a couple nights now, so it's too early to report on the effectiveness of the "allergen barrier." However, we did wake up without sinus headaches this morning -- always a good thing. And, the protectors are very comfortable. We just slipped them under our regular pillowcases, and hardly know they're there.
We hate to recommend something that might not be available in the future, so we'll point you in the direction of these Aller Ease Cotton Barrier Pillow Covers. They look very similar and seem to get good reviews at Amazon.

What about the aller ease ones from Target? I have had good experiences with their higher end ones (~$9/pillowcase).
Since the dust mites will still be on your pillow (vs IN your pillow), don't forget that you also need to wash/vacuum these regularly to keep your allergies at bay
