Pinzon Organic Sheets

Our dog tried to dig a hole in the bed yesterday, so we're suddenly seriously in the market for a new set of sheets. One option we're considering based on price alone: these Pinzon Organic Sheets from Amazon. At $43 plus shipping (but eligible for Amazon Prime) the price is the most reasonable we've seen for organic sheets. Colors are white or natural, and the price is the same whether you're buying twin or king sheets. But are they soft? We're not sure what to make by the reviews on Amazon's site.

Four reviews give the product five stars, but one review gives the sheets only one star. One person says "super soft and fit our queen memory foam mattress;" another says "after the first wash the fabric's true quality was revealed -- they were SCRATCHY and rough." Given that most people liked the product and that the price seems like a bargain, we're tempted. Have you bought these sheets? What did you think?

Unless I got a lot of reliable, positive reviews, I wouldn't buy these. These are only cheap if they're good, otherwise, they're costly, in my book. I don't think 4 good reviews on Amazon are enough (and I'm always suspicious of the source of reviews if there aren't many.) There's too much bad bed linen out there. But, if you do buy them, let us know if they're great, because we're right behind you!
