A Biodegradable Dog TentFrom the Dwell Blog

2-20-2009dog.jpgHere's a fun project for hardcore design enthusiasts who are also hardcore pet lovers: a modular, collapsible, biodegradable dog tent.

You know your Fido wants one.

This Houndstooth Dogtent was designed by Jon Santos, founder of the New York-based graphic design studio Common Space for an annual camping trip/design challenge.

It's made from bamboo and biodegradable plastic. It'll keep Lassie out of the rain -- and he'll look stylish the whole time.

I suppose you could also refashion scraps or plastic pieces to make one that's not biodegradable...Those plastics which aren't recyclable aren't going to biodegrade in the landfill, so why not make use of them?
