It's almost common knowledge -- a lot of materials used in conventional construction can be hazardous to our health. Take glue and its volatile organic compounds (VOCs) for example. So, what if you could build an affordable, carbon-neutral, eco-friendly prefab house without glue?
That's pretty much what Simon Beames and Simon Dickens, profiled in this month's issue of Dwell, are doing.

Beames and Dicken's 7.83 Hz is a pretty awesome addition to the world of green prefab. If the two designers have their way, these homes (which are doweled together rather than glued) will eventually be available to the average Joe -- probably the average Joe in London, first -- at a reasonable price.
