Jill Fehrenbacher, editor of Inhabitat.com and founder of the Greener Gadgets conference, recently went shopping with The New York Times to pick out some sustainable green gadgets, including the Aquaovo Ovopur Water Filter shown above...

 
 

What makes a product green? Ms. Fehrenbacher says it "depends on a number of factors, including how much energy it uses, whether it reduces waste and if it is made of recyclable materials." Ms. Fehrenbacher was a fan of Green Depot (which we wrote about last week), as well as the NatureMill composter (which we featured in our 2008 Holiday Giveaway).

I have one of the Grobal's. It is so low mainteance. I am considering getting a few more.

How can the Grobal be a featured green product when you can do a much better job maintaining houseplants with recycled (sub-irrigated) pop bottle planters? They are truly green gadgets. Read more here...
