We've blogged about how much we appreciate the More-with-Less cookbooks, a staple of our crunchy granola childhood and a newly rediscovered favorite. We appreciate that their approach comes from more than a sense of trends; the commitment to eating more with less comes from the authors' own sense of spirituality and living it out day to day.
More-with-Less, with its emphasis on African and Asian cooking and whole grains in other ethnic contexts, was also our earliest introduction to food outside of the stereotypical American food groups.
Lately we have been turning again to More-with-Less, but this time it's on the web, and it's helping us to eat seasonally.

Simply in Season began as a printed cookbook, which has recipes sorted by seasons (and color coded according to ingredient). The webpage shows only the fruit & vegetable guide portion of the book.
There is also a printed Simply in Season version for kids. Great!

I love the Simply in Season cookbook! It's great to use when we get in all of our seasonal CSA farm produce and wonder what we will make with all of it! Highly recommended!
