Someone at the Clothesline Shop must have been thinking the same thing, because this Maine-based clothesline specialty shop stocks a European overhead clothes "airer" that uses a pulley system to hoist your skivvies in the air. If you eschew clothes dryers for green reasons or just prefer the results you get from air drying, this humble contraption allows you to air dry your wets above the sunporch or over the shower.
$59.99 buys the pulley system. You supply your own 3/4" dowels, which means you can customize to fit a specific space. It also means the drying capacity is up to you: you can create enough length for just your delicates and woolens, or accommodate a whole load by using longer dowels.
The Clothesline Company cautions that the screw pulleys must be anchored in wood ceiling joists or beams: "sheetrock (drywall) or plaster and lath is insufficient."
Intructions for email ordering are here.
They have cute designs there...I believe their materials is made from top of the line products...Simple yet long lasting.
I believe most house holds were already in need with this kind of
laundry dryer.
It gradually becomes a household necessity secondary to a vehicle and its auto parts like the Audi 200 Quattro radiator.
Anyway, thanks for the post...
