How To: Clean & Remove Deposits from the Showerhead

2008-03-05-showerhead.jpg...without using harsh chemicals? It's easy! When your metal showerhead has become clogged with scaly deposits, place it in a pot with a homemade solution...

...of one part vinegar and eight parts water. Bring to a boil and simmer for 15 minutes.

If you have a plastic showerhead, simply soak in a solution that is equal parts vinegar and hot water.

I did the soak in straight vinegar a few weeks ago--what a huge difference it made on how much water came out!

also you can unscrew everything. sometimes there's actually dirt in the line especially if you live in a newer building.

yesterday i got my fiberglass tub back to white using ecover lime scale remover. i can't believe how well it worked. i've tried everything but wasn't willing to go out and buy bleach yet and tried the ecover. it's amazing.
