We've heard of vinegar before as a good alternative to Windex, but this tip uses a breakfast staple for people all over the world. What is it, you ask? Answer below the jump.
Non-Toxic Window Cleaning
No, it's not coffee (at least, not that we know of), it's black tea! After you've had your morning cup, let any remaining tea cool. Next, fill up a spray bottle with the cold tea, and clean your windows as you would with any other cleaning product. Easy and super simple.

If you're wasting so much tea you could wash your windows with the surplus, seems to me it'd be greener, overall, and more socially concious, to learn to waste less and wash your windows with something else. Besides, black tea is apt to permanently stain wood and cloth. A mild water and white vinegar solution won't, at least, not in my experience.

I would be worried about staining the walls. Vinegar does a great job and is super cheap.
