Sweep Dreams Brooms

10-3-sweep.jpg
We're not sure how many people actually use brooms these days. But for those who do, a colorful broom from Sweep Dreams might actually make the task of sweeping a bit more fun.

Made in Thailand, the brooms are handwoven from 100% renewable sorghum and bamboo and dyed in eco-friendly non-toxic colors. Sweep Dreams also sells short brooms, whisks, and dustpans, all vibrantly colored.

And if you're looking for a housewarming gift, traditionally, a new broom brings good luck and harmony to a new home.

For sale online here and at 3R Living. We've also seen them in stores such as Maison d'Etre in Oakland's Rockridge.

These are lovely! I'm definitely a sweeper--not sure what the alternative is. My best friend, who is a Waldorf teacher, helped me learn to appreciate sweeping, and she talks about how the act of sweeping helps clear bad energy from the home. So much nicer than listening to a vacuum cleaner blare, plus my kitties think a broom is playful while a vacuum is some odd mutant monster.

"We're not sure how many people actually use brooms nowadays..."

Uh, I do. And nothing but: no disposable swiffys, no roaring vacuums, no nothing else on my rental apt. hardwood floors, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Lovely. I can't stand plastic brooms, and they just don't work as well...
