We're still on the hunt for vintage Pyrex, though we did gain the use of a few pieces through a new roommate. But we want something lightweight to tote to work, with a lid that won't pop off.

We like these containers from Recycline, which are available at Whole Foods. A set of two runs about $8. They're dishwasher safe and 100% recycled #5 plastic. That means they should not contain BPA. We also like the clean lines, created by Evo Design.
Before we venture over to Whole Foods, we're wondering if you've used these. Do the lids work? Are they durable?
I purchased 2 of these cute tuppers earlier in the year. They are the perfect size for packing lunch and the lids work similar to the nalgene wide-mouthed containers I also use. The Recycline are unfortunately not leak-proof. they do very well with sauces but anything really liquidy is going to leak. That said, I still recommend them. If I need something to be leak-proof then I use the nalgene or old canning jars.

Another thing to consider: can you microwave with them? #5 Plastic is generally the same as the non-recyclable yogurt containers, which won't explode in your microwave, but also aren't necessarily microwave safe...

Keep hunting for the Pyrex!
I use our clear Pyrex tuppers with the blue lids for everything; cereal in the morning; leftovers for lunch. Yeah, they're heavier but I don't mind, even on my bike.
They don't leak, they're microwave friendly and you don't have to worry about tomato stains!

don't forget if the food you put can stain the plastic (tomato sauce or chilli) you should spritz a little cooking spray before you put your food in! :)
