Reusable Sandwich Bags: Lunch Skins

lunch_skins.jpg

Remember these lined reusable sandwich bags we blogged about awhile back? We were excited about them, except there was some debate over whether the PUL plastic liner was indeed considered food safe. Enter Lunch Skins. These reusable, colorful cloth pouches are made from a high quality, moisture-proof German fabric used worldwide in the food industry. They're food safe, extremely durable, grease-proof and can even be thrown in the dishwasher.

Made in the USA, the design is patent pending and the bags come in lots of juicy colors and patterns. They can be purchased through 3GreenMoms for $8.95 per bag.

Why can't these come with zippers, so much better when you want to put loose snacks in them - would be so much better with a zipper.

I love this local non-plastic alternative for transporting and storing food. Abeego is natural, reusable, eco-conscious food packaging created using hemp/cotton fabric infused with a blend of beeswax and plant extracts. Be sure to wash these with COLD water & you're good to begin the plastic purging process in your kitchen!
