We haven't started gift wrapping yet -- but we're just about to. So we decided to revisit Trent's post from earlier this month on ways to green your gift wrapping.
There is so much good stuff there! And we started to worry that some readers might have missed the post in all the holiday hullabaloo. So we're bringing it back in a 9 part series. We'll be giving you green wrapping ideas from now until the week before Christmas. Today is Day 1 -- get Trent's great tips after the jump.
Day 1. Reusable Gift Bags
- Many companies are now offering reusable bags or sacks to be used instead of wrapping paper.
- WrapSacks adds something special, by including a tracking number allowing you to see where the bag has been and where it goes.
- Patagonia also has great gift bags made from leftover fabric but you'll have to call them to get them.
- Make your own out of fabric scraps or old flannel sheets.
- Now that reusable shopping bags are everywhere, choose a nice one from your favorite food coop and gift it.
