Just in time for our Creative Reuse 2008 event, we’ve stumbled upon the Atelier V. website. It is one of the most entertaining and inspiring design websites we’ve come across in awhile. The company has devised very simple reuses of everyday household items; some are silly while others are super useful. The downside – it’s in German. The upside – the pictures are good enough that they explain themselves.
Some examples from the Atelier V. website:

Snap Together Old CD Cases to Create a Terrarium

Turn Flower Pots into Hearing Aids

Reuse a Beer Can as a Tea Light Sconce

Use a Finger From Dishwashing Gloves as a Bottle Spout

Once You’ve Grown Out of Your Arm Band Floatie Turn it into a Pendant Shade

Turn Flyswatter into Bicycle Helmut Bug Screen
Here’s a link where they show you how to disassemble and find 8 new uses for an umbrella, 7 new uses for a salad spinner, and 6 new uses for rain boots.
They also have a section devoted to short videos of how-to demonstrations. There are clips of how to turn freezer packs into drip watering systems for plants, a rake into a lampshade and crafting bras into baby bonnets. Again, so entertaining.
Now that you're inspired get busy and show us your creative reuses!
