Book Screens by Studio Sam

102908.bookscreenboth.jpgCreative Reuse month is coming to a close, so we're glad we get to squeeze in this project before the end of the week.

Studio Sam's carefully curated screen--made of vintage books--bends and folds. Click through for pictures of the backside: black and white pages!

102908.pagesbookscreen.jpgSeems like Studio Sam has a project that's similar to our magazine table, (she recommends putting a tray on it!), but this book screen is something we hadn't seen before.

Sam, as in "Samantha" Powers, had worked for 12 years at architecture firms in Australia before striking it out on her own four years ago.bookboth102808jpg.jpg
No idea how she fastened them together, but we love that they fold up, accordion style!

I have a bunch of books I can't resell, and we need a folding screen. I never even thought of this but now I SO need to figure this out.
