Here's Nora's idea for using clean, empty canning jars as photo frames. Simple and smart. Get the story behind her project after the jump.

Object: Canning Jars
Project: Photo Frames
Your Inspiration? I started doing this when my friends and I had children and I was awash in pictures. Rather than buy new frames for every new picture, I started sticking them in jars. The two children are my daughter, held by a friend, and the son of my closest friends. My daughter Ada is now three, but I love this picture of her and Adam so much that I have not replaced the picture with something more recent. I often put rocks in the back of the jar, as my daughter is a collector and the rocks end up all over our house.

I love this idea and have started collecting iced frappuccino bottles for a similar display!

I love this idea! It looks like a great way to store small art projects from the kids, too. Easy to swap out, easy to store behind the newest treasure.
