Creative Reuse 2008: Picture Frame as Raised Dog Feeder

This is definitely one we never would've thought of: Lisa has turned a picture frame and some napkin rings into a raised dog feeder.

Object(s): Four napkin rings and a shadow box style picture frame
Project: A raised dog feeder for my one-eyed rescue Pekingese Blitzkrieg. Since my dog is rescue, I guess you could say that he's recycled too!
Instructions: First I had to measure my dog from the floor to his shoulder and divide the number in half to get the height of the feeder. I used napkin rings as feet because they were 4 inches tall - the height the feeder needed to be for my Pekingese. I painted the wood insert of the photo frame. If your frame has a cardboard insert, you'll need to cut one out of wood. After the paint was dry I inserted the backing into the frame and hot glued it into place. Then I hot glued the napkin rings onto the bottom of the frame to act as legs.
Inspiration: I wanted a Mid-Century type of raised feeder for my dog that allowed me to use his food bowls. I couldn't find anything like that. After strolling around Goodwill I found the components and decided to make my own.
