Here is my own little creative reuse project. There's no limit to what you can do with empty, clean tin cans (as long as you're careful about the potentially jagged edges). I've turned 4 of them into a drawer organizer in my bathroom.

Object: Tin Cans
Project: Bathroom Drawer Organizer
Instructions: After you use the contents, clean 4 tin cans. You could stop here and place them in your drawers and fill them with all the your loose odds and ends. I decided to poke some holes in my tin cans and tie them together with some colored ribbon. I used an old-school can opener to poke the holes. Warning: If you do decide to go this route, be careful of jagged edges!
Inspiration: This is pretty simple. We have a set of drawers in our bathroom and one in particular was a total mess, littered with stuff -- rubber bands, tweezers, Q-tips, band-aids, etc. You could never find anything in there. My partner started the project by putting all the Q-tips in one empty tin can. I finished it by adding three more and filling them with more of our bathroom junk. One drawer down, 4 to go ...
i posted a link to this over at Craft Gossip (www.craftgossip.com), and one of my readers asked what to do about the cans rusting after you wash them out. as i didn't have an answer, i thought i'd pose the question here as well!

Couldn't you spray paint them, or use some sealer to prevent rust?
