Etsy Find: Recycled Vintage Fabric Coasters

I'm a total sucker for bright patterns in small packages. Today's Etsy find presents another great way to recycle old fabrics or sheets: make them into coasters! These colorful coasters are hand-quilted from re-purposed vintage fabrics, and are oh so pretty... See more pictures below the jump!

They come in sets of four for $14, although you can custom order more. See them in Rikrak's Etsy shop.

I wish that people would stop thinking that everything can and should be recycled into coasters. anybody who actually uses coasters already has them, and nobody needs that many anyway. it's not like they're single-use items. recycling trash into clutter isn't that much of an upgrade.

^you're sounding a little bitter about the coasters, there.

This is a cute rainy-day project. I wouldn't buy off etsy but if I had older kids and a day stuck indoors, this is a project I'd pull out.
