Fun Font Gift Wrapping

12-19-2008wrap1.jpgTaking a page – literally – from Stephanie and Trent’s 9 Days of Gift Wrapping, Bugs and Fishes has a great idea for recycling various papers to use as large font name tags. We love the look of it, and will be using this idea for our gifts – click below the jump to find out more.

The concept is really straightforward: make a template of letters from the font of your choice, trace onto a salvaged piece of paper – we really like the maps. Then, glue onto your wrapped gift – the brown paper makes a really nice background, or any solid color would too. If you’re feeling particularly fancy, use large sheets of double sided adhesive like contact paper.

i love this!

you could theme the paper to coincide with the recipient.
i.e. my brother is a musician - sheet music
my sister is a chef - old cookbooks / pictures of food
etc.
