Greenhouse Made from Left Over Building Materials

Though I'm putting it off until warmer weather, my dream of a shed is still high on my list of priorities. I probably won't make it out of recycled plastic bottles, but I am considering some other recycled building materials - and I certainly wouldn't mind if it looked something like this beautiful green house made from just that, all things recycled or left over.

After completing the renovation on their lodge in B.C., the owners of Brockton Place decided to put the left over supplies to use and create a greenhouse from recycled/found/leftover items.

Most of the windows came from an old house that used to live on the site of their lodge, and the remaining left over after upgrading to more energy-efficient windows. The framing and cedar siding was left over from previous renovations, and also from a recycled pool deck. The paint was the result of mixing old half-used cans of paint to create their own special color.

The only truly new items put into the house were the cement foundations, nails and new glass panes for some of the old windows, and a new door.

I would love to have a re-used materials greenhouse. For now, I have re-used Mason jar as garden cloches, which are sort of like mini-greenhouses for my seedling in raised beds. I don't buy plastic bottles very often, so it would be a lifetime before I had enough plastic bottles to build a shed. Still, a very cool idea.
