Check out these batty sandwich toppers Merrilee of Mer Mag created. And what did she use to make these? Bill envelopes she received in the mail. From time to time we've noticed some of the interesting patterns printed on the inside of these security envelopes and now we know to save them. If you're planning a small Halloween party in a few days, or if you just want to make lunch extra special, dig through your recycling bin and make a couple of these days for sandwiches or a cupcake treat. Check out more photos at Mer Mag.

Oh, awesome.
I've seen lovely envelopes made from that security paper. Turn it inside out and use it in your creative projects--it's an excellent example of upcycling. :)

I now feel all boring for using old envelopes as my notepaper for shopping lists etc!
(prior to then recycling it)
