My ski pole coat rack. We rearranged our entryway this fall to make more room for all of our ski gear, hats, gloves and coats. We get a lot of snow. And I needed something to hang up our stuff while it dried. I was at a thrift store one day and saw 4 kids ski poles, and I thought "that's exactly what I need to make my rack." 4 ski poles, a 2x4 from the shed, and a drill was all I needed to make it. Oh and my fiance to hang it up when I was finished.

We converted a huge flat file to a coffee table, stripping the paint and adding casters.

my grandma gave me my dad's old children's books and a few from when she was young - about 3 dozen total. they are in good condition, but too fragile to read. instead of storing them in the basement, i have them displayed in 3 rows in the living room as artwork. they are thin (children's books - not too much reading) and don't stick out from the wall any more than a frame would. each is resting on 3 nails - 1 on top, 2 on bottom.
