In these examples, branches are placed in vases, nailed to the wall, and hung from the ceiling — how have you integrated fallen branches into your home decor?

I just scanned some photos from an old loft I used to live in and was reminded of the branch sculpture that I had for a long time. You can see it hanging horizontally.
It was made by an artist friend who cut the branch in lengths and then reattached them with dowels. Some romex was wrapped around it for a cool effect. I liked how it looked suspended horizontally in a big room like this but it was originally designed to hang vertically in an old skylight chamber in an old Victorian house.

I created an enchanted passageway in my hallway, with branches nailed to the walls and curved overhead against the ceiling. Everyone always freaks out about them. There are some [really bad] pictures here. (The effect is much cooler in my standard dim lighting, but it was impossible to capture without the camera flash.)

Love this look...like a beautiful modern sculpture! Such a great way for those of us in northern climates to cure the winter blues that come when gardens get covered in snow!
