Five Favorite Cardboard Creations

Frank Gehry started it back in the 1960's (see photo 2). Now, we see cardboard popping up all over throughout the design world. We've gathered five of our favorite cardboard creations here...

4 Recycled cardboard furniture by Krooom includes this storage cube, childrens' furniture, and other colorful takes on cardboard creations.
5 Let your pet in on the fun, too: the Cat Cocoon, originally featured on Apartment Therapy San Francisco back in 2006, by One Form Design.

We love the idea of putting cardboard to good (re)use: it's readily available, strong when used correctly, and beautiful to boot. Sure, it can look rough, cheap, or flimsy. But with some time, elbow grease, and ingenuity it also can be used to make useful, provocative design.

Sorry... how is this green? I just don't see how it would last very long.
