Glowing Socket: Keeps You Aware of Your Electricity Use

But while the orb indicates the current load on the grid, the glowing socket concept changes brightness levels depending on how much current is coming through at a particular time.

Since the socket will always glow while something is plugged in, you will have a constant visual reminder of devices which are drawing vampire current hopefully leading to making sure you always unplug.
