Pic Woody's cutlery is made in France of sustainable European beech and poplar, which is compostable and reduces the use of disposable plastics.
The utensils are smoothed and waxed - no splinters here! And we found their shape to be very pleasing, too.
Even better- just bring your own cutlery, take it home and wash when finished! Saves 2.50, energy used to produce them, transport them, and want end up in a sealed landfill where even degradable stuff doesn't degrade.

I'm with ringo on this one.
At w.o.k. they give out either chopsticks or wooden cutlery with their take-away meals, too: they're cute but not very comfortable to eat with (especially the knife - completely useless).
Here's a pic I just shot of a wooden fork of theirs I've kept - and no, I didn't use it, just prefer normal, washable, reusable cutlery.

How can you post throw-away cutlery on a green site! Shame!

I agree with the nay-sayers. And I hope this site will not simply be promoting new trendy things to buy in the flimsy name of green. Gimme information, not product pushing.

I with the other commenters - whatever happened to reusing as one of the main components of green living?
