Chalkboards from Half Pint Salvage

1-22-2010chalkboard.jpgHalf Pint Salvage has all sorts of great items creatively crafted out of salvaged stuff. But, out of all the goodies, we like these chalkboards made from salvaged windows the most.

The chalkboards ($59) are made from windows salvaged from demolished houses—they're cleaned, repainted, and given a chalkboard (via chalkboard paint) directly onto the glass.

Our favorite details is how the window handle/pull has been turned into a chalk holder.

We'd love to hang one in the kitchen for grocery lists, or by the front door for last-minute notes.

ooohhhh...I want to make one! I'm with you, the charm is really in the chalk holder on this one. What a great idea.

Wheres the clever little holder for an eraser?
