After we finished Monday's post on alternatives to Febreze, an alternative popped up: sheep poo. We are not kidding. What could possibly be more funny than an air freshener made of sheep poo? The name really got us -- and get ready, it’s a groaner...
Poo-Pourri (and that’s not only clever, it’s trademarked, so don’t even consider starting your own copycat line of scented dung) is actually a scented piece of paper -- like those retro car air fresheners. There’s just one difference: instead of being made from paper fiber, these are made from sheep dung that is “sterilised, washed, then turned into card.”
Scents are fresh-cut grass or daffodil; no word on whether they are natural or artificial in origin.
At current exchange rates, a pack of ten in mixed scents will set you back about $23.
If, like us, you find the idea of Sheep Poo paper both alarming and delightful, you’ll be glad to know there’s a full selection of cards and stationery. We can’t wait to receive our first wedding invitation printed on sheep poo!
The trail: a mention in Discover magazine lead us to this blog post about Sheep Poo paper
this is great! it's funny, clever, and re-uses waste. literally :)

At least sheep are cute. Can you imagine if this was made from something not cute and cuddly? Like a rhinoceros? Or a coyote? Never mind. There's probably a market for that, too.

And to think that for all these years I've just been spreading the sheep poo from the barn in my kitchen garden. What a waste - oh, ouch. ; )
