Multi Polar Projects: ITSOK 'Limited' Edition of 1 Million
The 50-year Project

itsokay.jpg

This is quite the undertaking. We recently got an email from Sighn of Multi Polar Projects telling us about his potentially impossible current feat: to make 1 million hand-cut ITSOK ("it's ok") pieces, resulting — in about 50 years — in a piece entitled "One Million Times It's OK." He crafts his ITSOK from renewable resources like reclaimed wood and, most recently, bamboo. But wait — why is he doing this exactly? Jump below to find out...

For every ITSOK sold, a tree is planted through the Arbor Day Foundation. Therefore, the ulimate goal is to have 1 million trees planted by the end of the project.

Read more about Sighn and purchase the ITSOK at Multi Polar Projects. They go for $20 a piece and come in basswood, bamboo, canarywood and cherry. You can also watch a short documentary video on the process here.
