Here in Northern California, the sky keeps getting grayer and grayer .... but still no rain. We heard that some is coming this weekend, but we're not getting our hopes up. Instead, we're focusing on more ways to save water.

To add an idea (at least in Calif -- maybe in Southwest U.S. too):
__ It's a GREAT time of year to plant drought-loving California Native plants. __
Little extra water is needed to get them established, as the rains (when they come) will do that for you. Then, they'll be ready to handle the lack of precipitation after the spring. Voila! Beauty & Water Savings!
And your local wildlife will benefit greatly, too.
