Happy Belated Sunflower Guerilla Day

5-1-2008international-sunflower-day.jpg

OK, so we missed International Sunflower Guerilla Day by about 24 hours. Who knew?

Well, the people at Treehugger did. But no matter -- we personally think that any day in May could be a Sunflower Guerilla Day (SGD).

Here's the gist:

The people behind SGD want you to go out and find an ugly little patch of soil somewhere in your neighborhood. Dig a little hole, drop in a seed or two, and water occasionally.

It's a great way to beautify your neighborhood. Who cares if it's May 1st or May 2nd. We love the idea ... and we know just where to plant our first seed ....
