This may seem obvious, but for those people who spend a lot of time in the garden, putting a nozzle on your hose can save a lot of water. It's pretty simple: with a nozzle, the flow of water is easily turned off as you wander back and forth between plants. And, if you're gonna use a nozzle, you might as well get a good one...
Luckily Emily Green, a Home & Garden writer for the LA Times, has tested out ten nozzles in an effort to figure out which ones work best/most efficiently.
It sounds like an easy task, but Green reports that one nozzle actually exploded on her (the Vigoro Heavy-Duty Adjustable Pistol Nozzle). So, to avoid that sort of disaster, read Green's column and see which ones she liked best.
Do you have a garden hose nozzle that you love?
