Remember the shoe organizer vertical planter? We really loved that idea for small-space gardening. But we might like the look of this gutter garden more...
If your home provided no space for an outdoor garden, how easy would it be to attach a few gutters to the back of your house/building/garage? Put them wherever it's sunniest.
Rain gutters come in a variety of sizes and look so clean and orderly planted with herbs and lettuces. And we bet you could find some used/salvaged gutters without too much trouble (just be sure they're made from a safe, nontoxic material).

these gutter gardens are adorable. i can think of lots of things that would do well in these circumstances - e.g. baby lettuce gets harvested before it would outgrow the gutters/
