The gift pack includes Siskiyou Cedar soap, Blue Huckleberry jam, Christmas Fir sachet, Douglas Fir Tip tea and Cedar incense. I lived in Seattle in Grad School. My favorite thing about the Northwest is the deep emerald green that surrounds you each winter (from the grass and abundant conifers). So lovely, it makes the gray winters bearable.

I live in Santa Cruz presently, and after a rain shower the trees let off this vapor that I had never seen when down in San Diego. The mist is strangely beautiful. The scent in the air is glorious as well. Can't beat the Northwest (of California!). I hope that there will be this type of beauty once I move to Berkeley.

Thanks AT!

Um, I like EVERYTHING about the Pacific Northwest (Seattle/Washington in particular) except the cost of living. My family would've moved there already if not for the enormous expense compared to the Southeast where we live. The Olympic National Forest is a big draw, but also the active lifestyle, "green" consciousness, and a thousand other things.

I love the mighty mountains and greeness of that part of the country.

This gift would add so much to a cozy wintery day.

I am from Montana, but living in DC right now, and I am sooo homesick! There are so many things to love about the Northwest (specifically Montana)...trees, birds, no humidity, snow, long summer days, the smell, the mountains, the sky, seeing wild animals in your backyard, lakes and rivers...I could go on and on.

What I like best about the Northwest? Never been, but I'd have to say my old friend Mike -- he just moved there!

Just pledged to stop buying bottled soap--and these would keep us clean while visiting the Hoh National Rain Forest, one of my fave places.

I was amazed by the beautiful landscape and the variety -- one day we hiked mountains and the next day we visited the beach.

But my favorite memory was seeing Ken&Em's Much Ado at a sprawling little adobe theater that was made up of courtyards and several small showing rooms. It was a wonderfully intimate setting.

My in-laws have slowly been relocating to Portland over the last 10 years and I have to confess that I was skeptical at first...but by the end of the first holiday we spent there I was won over. Between the beautiful geography and the cultural life I'm wondering when we're going to start packing our bags!

Oh! And my friends who live in Portland and Seattle!

i used to live in seattle, i miss it so much. i would have to say it's a tie between the peak of mount rainier glowing pink above the clouds, and the cityscape at the edge of puget sound.
