Oooh, perfect on the couch with a cup of tea. Plus, if I had that, it would give me a good excuse to get rid of my boyfriend's old (read: stuffing falling out of) red and black, fake chinese comforter from college. I imagine this one smells better too. ;)

Re: washing corn.

Yes. Corn (and soy, bamboo, ramie, pine, Chitin, seacell, etc are all derived from sources (in this case: soy byproduct, bamboo, ramie, shrimp and crab shells left over, seaweed).

They can all be hand washed, lay them out to dry. You could dry clean them I supposed, but that would probably defeat the purpose of buying a "green" blanket.

A person could cuddle up with this corn blanket, and watch Field of Dreams. Just ffwd through the part where the cor field gets plowed under.

This looks a lot like a beautiful throw that I was given as a wedding present that got destroyed by nesting mice. It would be an a-maize-ing replacement for that... (yes, I actually typed that...)

I find it's really nice to have a variety of blankets to cuddle up with on the sofa... even if the house is a good temperature, it just feels cozier with a blanket over your lap. Especially when you wake up and it's 0 degrees outside (like today)!
