This glass mosaic back splash was photographed during a home tour of a condominium built in the early 60's in Palm Springs. This is not just any condominium however: it was "conceived as an experiment in modern living... and gained fame as the honeymoon home of Elvis and Priscilla Presley..."
Photographed by Interior Designer Patricia Gray, this home has actually been recently renovated. The wall between the kitchen and living room was taken out and the glass mosaic tile put on the backsplash of the all-white kitchen.
We've tried to find something similar by searching the web, but couldn't find anything close. Most of the time when you see "mosaic mirrors" it's the frame, not the mirror, that has been used as a mosaic.
If anyone ever does a DIY on this, you have to let us know!

I would have worried that it would turn out looking like a disco ball but the different sized pieces of glass break it up just enough to give it a nice elegant sparkle. Love it!

My first response: Wow, that's beautiful!
Second: I bet that's a pain to clean.
Third: Oh dear, is that *white* grout?
