How To Dispose of Used Coffee Grounds and Tea Leaves?
Good Question

coffee-grounds.jpgDo you or your readers know of a good use for coffee grounds and tea leaves once they have been brewed? It seems a shame to be disposing of them. Also, is there a difference between the uses for either, for example, coffee grounds that can be used for some things, whereas tea leaves cannot?

I think coffee grinds can be used in the garden. I worked in a coffee shop in college and a woman would come by weekly to collect grinds from us for her garden. Not sure what it does or if its only for certain types of plants as I can imagine they would add some acidity to the soil.

Any coffee for those who are apartment-bound and without gardens?

Cheers!

You can put coffee grounds in your potted plants. I presume tea leaves would work too, but I haven't tried it with them.
