Q: My boyfriend and I recently replaced our Tempur-Pedic pillows because of neck problems. Either the pillows had finally begun to lose their shape, or the shape was wrong. We replaced them with the "neck pillow" shape Tempurpedic pillows and have felt better ever since.
Now, what do we do with our old Tempurpedic pillows? Is there somewhere to recycle them?
...We live in a tiny NY apartment, so storing them for guests takes up too much space. I thought of making a dog bed out of them, but that also will just take up too much space, and we already have two (one for the crate and one I made out of an old college sweater, which my dog refuses to even touch). Any ideas?

Hmmm, I'm curious to see answers. We also have a couple of Temperpedic pillows sitting in the back of the closet, taking up space. I have thought about, but never gotten around to, selling them on Craigslist, as we purchased the protective pillowcases and only used them for ~ 2 weeks.

good for you on the new pillows!
personally, i would put them on the street as "free stuff". the thriving street economy of NYC is one of the most resilient economies in the world. Its the easiest way to recycle in NYC.

I love old foam anything. I make props. Foam is expensive, so I take cast offs like these and build things like animal horns, hooves, or claws, boffer safe weapons, etc out of them.

would be a comfy replacement or addition to foam in any upholstered seat dining chairs
