This question is from Zhasmene:

I just bought this item in the planter section of my Habitat for Humanity Re-Store and I'm wondering what it is. It has MADE IN HOLLAND stamped on the bottom. I'm thinking that it might be an orchid pot. Is that crazy? Thanks for any help.

it could also be a pot for an african violet, which have to be watered from the bottom.

Perhaps it's used to sprout forced bulbs? I can envision tulip bulbs popping out through the sides and the top...

Looks like a candle holder to me, but it would probably work just fine as an orchid pot.

Votive. My mother had one.
