A good question from Jillian:
My family lives in a pretty rural area in Pennsylvania. Our county has recycling services but you have to separate it yourself and then drive it over there. Might not be a big deal to some, but my family, for whatever reason, does not participate. So, I thought of a possible Christmas gift for my father -- a recycling service. So I'm looking for a company that would handle this just like a city recycling or the trash company, that would just come and pick it up every week and not require any sorting. Something that would be easy for them to deal with, and would get them recycling! Does anyone know of national or maybe east coast regional companies that provide this service??

Anyone in Pennsylvania or the general east coast area know of a company that provides this sort of service?

Waste Management has residential recycling where you don't have to sort it. On their website you can enter your zip code and find your local facility and if they offer that program. I'm sure you can also call them too.

We have the same problem, and what we ended up doing was getting a local recycler with a truck to come. He considers it charity but does get some money off the cans, and I think we pay him $5 or $10 - it's about an hour's worth of work a week, and he just does it in with his own. Makes everyone happy.
