smsintl asked this question in response to yesterday's post on DIY (and Permitless) Gray Water:
My husband and I have been talking about doing something like this for months! Are there any workshops or groups like this in the San Diego Area??
We thought this was a great question to put out to our readers. We're familiar with the Greywater Guerillas because they're here in our backyard -- but we're assuming there are similar groups in other parts of the country. And if there aren't, we're still betting there are places where you can take classes on setting up you own gray water systems?
So, please, whether or not you live in San Diego, if you know of a gray water resource in your area, please list it in the comments!

I can tell you here in Georgia its illegal in many areas to divert gray water. In some cases the reason is if you divert all your gray water to your lawn you are not moving enough water through your septic system, causing large particulate build up. Our county was on a full watering ban this year due to drought and we could not legally divert our gray water under any circumstances.
