I just went down to Jones Point Park this past weekend. I'm on a kick to see as many of the boundary stones as I can before I move in a couple of years, so we started with the first one placed. The park was about a 2 mile walk from the King St metro, but I think there are options like the trolley or a bus to get you closer. I like walking, so I didn't even look those up. The park was nice and quiet, and we sat on the rocks and looked out over the water. We also mocked the National Harbor mercilessly. It was a very nice little space though, and it is right on the Mount Vernon Trail for anyone who bikes.

The walled gardens up at the National Cathedral are wonderfully relaxing.
