Saw this today and found it inspiring. Green style to us also means bringing the outside inside and reconnecting with the earth, even it's firewood in a NY loft. There's more of this simple eyecandy - this is from The Mini Loft Bible (via LoftLife).

I don't know, Maxwell... I commented on the original post (apparently, we read the same blogs, haha) - most firewood comes with bugs, bees and mold. I would NOT want that in my house. Sure...it's fine enough for the photoshoot, but actually living with it is a definite no.

My first thought was the same as bfootnovellista. I grew up in a home entirely heated with wood and there are very very good reasons not to store wood inside long term.

Besides the bugs, spiders, mold and tendency of cut up trees to constantly shed small chips of wood and moss, there is the safety issue--all that fuel IN your home. That's why smart wood stove owners store their fuel supply a distance away from the house.

hehe people who've actually lived w/ firewood know this is a very, very bad idea.
