The Big Dig House in Boston was recently completed, and it's comprised of —you guessed it — 600,000 lbs of recycled materials that were salvaged from the Big Dig highway project in Boston. Single Speed Design, the engineers and designers of the Big Dig House, used the recycled materials (most of which were free) in the condition in which they were found to save time and energy.
